It starts as any other day - but with just a hint of expectation in the air. After all....it's Christmas! Later today I will go to Barb's and have Christmas dinner and all the fixins. No presents for me though - I've managed to get every one of them early. And what great presents they are. I'm going to Houston!! Yay!! I can hardly wait. I've already started making a "mental" note of all the things I need to bring. I guess putting it down on paper would be much safer.

Smudge seems unimpressed with the day. He's still curled up asleep on the bed with his back to me. I think that is definitely a show of disinterest. At least he doesn't talk (that I know of). I watched Cats & Dogs last night and it was pretty funny with the talking animals. Best not to delve into the deeper issues of plot, etc - a little weak there. But it was good fun.

Now I'm off to start my Christmas....Ho Ho HO
